We are a dog-first community for every size, breed and personality, built by South African dog parents who got tired of guessing.
It started with two fussy Cocker Spaniels
As a first-time dog owner, Nish was not sure which brands and products her fur kids would like. She tried a lot of treats and a lot of food. Only after all that trial and error did Pip and Johnnie make their favourites clear, and it was lucky they did.

It exposed something a lot of new dog parents feel. You want to try the best that South Africa has to offer, and you have no idea where to start. That is the gap The Wag Club exists to close.
We are here for every baby piranha, eye-rolling teenager and old soul, and of course the dog moms and dads raising them. Navigating the wild world of dogs is better together. We are the pack standing behind every dog parent and their best friend.

The golden one. Enthusiastic about everything, which makes him the easy vote. Between the two of them, we get an honest answer every time.
Johnnie
The black Cocker Spaniel. Serious about snacks, suspicious of anything new, and the reason a treat has to earn its place. If Pip walks away, it does not make the box.

20% of all advent calendar sales go to TEARS animal rescue in Cape Town.
How a brand makes the cut
We look for small South African makers doing something well. We check the ingredient list, we ask how it is made, and then it goes to the taste testers. Nothing goes in the box because it paid to be there, and we never resell what our partner brands make. Every product in the calendar points back to the brand behind it.
